Raffine — Alexandria, Sydney
Furniture that
earns its place.
180 curated pieces. A showroom where every decision was deliberate. For homes — and the people building them — that take design seriously.
Behind the brand
We started Raffine because the market had a problem.
The options were fast and forgettable, or rare and difficult. Mid-range brands that looked expensive for a season and then aged badly. Luxury European imports that cost a fortune to ship and took eight months to arrive. Nothing in between that took design seriously and behaved like a proper business.
Raffine is the in-between.
We curate 180 pieces — not 5,000, not 50. Every piece we add, something gets reviewed. The edit is the work. We're looking for furniture that has a reason to exist: a proportion that's right, a material that earns its place, a detail that you notice once and then never stop noticing.
Our showroom is in Alexandria, Sydney. It's open by appointment because we think furniture deserves a conversation, not a browse. When you visit, you'll see everything we carry. Nothing is in a catalogue that isn't on the floor.
Most of what we do is trade — interior designers, architects, and builders who specify our pieces for residential and commercial projects. The rest is private clients building homes they intend to keep.
The edit
180 pieces.
Not because we
couldn't find more.
Restraint is a decision. Every collection we review, we're asking the same question: does this piece do something the others don't, or does it do something common with a level of care that earns the price?
Most don't pass. The ones that do make the range more considered, not larger.
The craft
Material that
earns its place
in the room.
When we source stone, we select individual slabs — not grades, not names. The grade tells you almost nothing. The slab tells you everything.
We're looking for materials that improve with time rather than degrade with it. That's rarer than it should be.
What we stand for
Design that endures,
without compromise.
Three commitments that run through every decision we make — what we buy, how we source it, and who we work with.
The edit over the archive
We carry 180 pieces with intention, not 5,000 with indifference. Every addition means a review. The range stays considered because we treat addition as a decision, not a default.
Material over appearance
A piece that looks expensive is not the same as a piece that is expensive to make. We specify materials that improve with use — stone that develops character, upholstery that softens without losing structure.
Conversation over catalogue
Our showroom is open by appointment. Not as a barrier — as a commitment. Furniture at this level is better understood in person, with someone who knows the range.

Our showroom
Furniture is better
understood in person.
The Alex Precinct, Alexandria. A considered space where you can sit on the sofas, feel the stone tops, and understand why the range looks the way it does. Open by appointment — so someone is always there to talk through what you're looking for.
